1633 . Big 4to format (26 cm). 1,070 pages. In its original full calf binding (quite rare condition for this big book) with slight damages at ends of spine and hinges, but very strong. A large part of the paper shows inevitable uniform browning due to metal components present in variable quantities in the making of the paper. This is THE 17th century manual of witch-hunting. It is the longest and most complete treatise ever written on the subject, embracing theoretical demonology to practical torture to get confessions. This is one of the best editions. With a beautiful engraved title. Text framed, on two columns. A quite heavy book.
